This is a pic from about a week ago. I'll post a new pic of how it looks now as soon as it's daylight.

Robert, that's aweseom! How many years old would say your bulb is?

Ooooh Robert, I want your collection of bulbs!

This is one I have been dying to try, but didn't want to start from seed, didn't want to pay the huge price for a mature bulb!

They say it can be fairly hardy if treated correctly. I will get one eventually!

Ahhhh, I like that one, too! It's so cool to watch them transform. wallaby, what's "fairly" hardy? Of course if I left it in the ground we'd have record breaking snow/moisture in the winter and rot it......

Lincoln, United Kingdom(Zone 8a)

As far as I can remember they should be where they are well drained and mulched well, planted deep and kept dry over winter they can be hardy to zone 8 at least.

I found this, which gives basic instructions. Planted 8-10" deep they wouldn't get frozen here, but must be kept dry.

azreno and Wallaby1~

I don't know the age of the bulb. I got it last year from Natural Selections for US$19.99. It was maybe 3" diameter. I'm not taking any chances with it though, not yet anyway. It'll be wintering indoors.

I'm sure it would survive here with a good mulch, but I'm just not ready. Know what I mean? A. konjac and Typhonium venosum (Sauromatum venosum) winter here--no problem. When it makes an offset, then I'll put one in the ground.

Robert.
