Watermelons being eaten

Victoria, MN(Zone 4a)

and not in the good way.
We have pumpkins next to watermelons and cantalop not too far away, all on raised beds and in a garden area with a 4 ft fence that is electrified.
so even though this is my first garden, no nibbling of anything except by bugs...
But now over the last 2 weeks, we first noticed all the vines hanging over the edge, gone or chomped off, but now vines are being cut at the base- I can't tell if they are yanked or bitten, but whatever it is- it is leaving chomp marks on the orphaned baby fruits- but not eating them much.

Any ideas on what kind of critter can do this? My husband thinks it is bugs, because he built the electric fence! and we did put out mouse type traps around last week and nothing is sprung, but more and more get killed. whatever it is, it is not in my pumpkins or cantalope yet???

Not sure how big your yard/garden is, but is it possible you have a rabbit inside the fence?
