Hi All,
I would like to relocate some curcumas to another part of our garden and I was wondering... is it best to plant curcumas in the fall - just before they go dormant, or in the spring, just before they emerge?
Thanks so much!
Heather
Replanting curcumas
In the spring is the best time, just before or when they are just sprouting. Especially if you are dividing, Russell says not to transplant/divide in the fall or winter any gingers that naturally go dormant, because they store starches and they are easier to rot when they are dormant. We do ours all through out the growing season and have great success.
Perfect! Thank you!
