I had water celery for the first time this year and mine bloomed too. It was very small and delicate. Queen Anne's lace perfectly describes what it looks like. Very nice pic! :)

That is so pretty and delicate looking!! I will have to get some for my pond next summer, if I can find somewhere local? BTW, did anyone else read the recent issue of Birds and Blooms?? Someone has A PINK QUEEN ANN'S LACE !!!!!Go see and read the article! What will be found growing next?

Yes, I have been going crazy looking for my issue of Birds and Blooms with the pic in it!! And yes it is a member of the carrot family, I remember reading that quite a number of years ago, but I still love to have it growing around in the yard.....Now if I can just get ahold of some pink ones :)

I hope somebody finds a copy and post a picture, little curious what shade of pink they are!!!!

Oh I LOVED my water celery! I had Flamingo, and it sure didnt spread like the all green one. I too will have the green again next year.
I saw that too about the QAL.. I cant find the magazine right now, but I remember being so shocked about mauve, pink and peach colors. I also remember reading about how she started with one plant, and they spread, and she would get different colors (sports), and then pull them up, and plant them in a different area from her white ones.
