55 Gallons of Fertilizer, But What KIND???

Marysville, WA

I have a 55 gal drum set up to water plants from. I want to use a water soluable type of fertilizer that I can put in the drum and use it to water the plants daily with. I am thinking a high middle number on the fertilizer would be best. Any suggestions???

I don't pre-mix liquid fertilizer except in small quantities of a few gallons that I apply almost immediately. Even after a few days, you can get moss growing in water that has soluble fertilizer in it.

I use several of the commercial soluble fertilizers with macronutrients and micronutrients. Miracle-Gro, Peters, Schultz, and Better-Gro are the brands I use most. Miracle-Gro Tomato Food is a pretty good all-purpose formula for me, for my tomatoes and nearly everything in the garden.

For starting plants in sterile media I use urea-free formulas like Peters Specialties African Violet Plant Food (12-36-14) and Better-Gro Orchid Plus (20-14-13).

MAINEMAN;
I finally got some miracle grow type stuff, 15-30-15, and I called them to ask what I should use as I did not get a very swift response on here. Miracle grow people were pretty snotty on their 800 number. I go thru 55 gal in just a few days anyhow. Their idea was 4 tablespoons per 55 gal for daily feeding. Miracle Grow Tomato food had 18-18-21 numbers. I was told to get a bigger middle number to get blooms and more fruit.

I wanted to have a daily feeding, as I am terrible with dates, (like every 7-10 days that MG recommends), and math. I dont see a substantial difference as yet, but I am hopeful. Thank you for your input
