CLOSED: All over the garden....
That looks to me like the caterpillar of the Cinnabar Moth Tyria jacobaeae in the Arctiidae. http://www.nysaes.cornell.edu/pheronet/ins/tyriajacob.html
http://www.butterfliesandmoths.org/species?l=3683
which love to feed on Ragwort Senecio jacobaea and other members of the Senecio genus
Thanks, now I know what those moths are that we saw at the beginning of the summer.
You might like to add your images to the Bug Files. I have just created an entry for the Cinnabar Moth at http://davesgarden.com/bf/go/240/
