Tacca

Hi,

My tacca (bat plant) is ripe with seed at the moment. How do I know when the seed is ready to be picked.

This is what I was told...and did with mine.

When the pod falls to the ground and seems really full, cut it from the plant...the whole pod. Let it dry just a little bit...say a few to 5 days and then squish the seeds out of the casings. Spread the seeds on TOP of a light medium...do NOT cover with anything....keep warm and damp and they should sprout.

I forgot which pot had the seeds so I dumped it. Dumb. Don't do that!
