After the storm picts.

Roopville, GA(Zone 7b)

well we needed some rain but i hate this damaged happened. our picnic table's umbrella blew over and table glass broke. the table had my episcias from allison and ki on it!!! the table had a cast iron umbrella holder at bottom and heavy planter with episcias on it. here are my poor episcias. the planter dumped upside down so i had to dig them out from under soil. many got broken leaves and some just jarred and wet and dirty. i hope they make it. our sunflower patch was almost a total loss! there are pictures under annuals thread of how they looked a few days ago. we had several branches break from trees and fall that are all over the yard but thank goodness our house and us are fine.

oh, what a mess! especially the glass!!!

Give the plants time, and they will probably make it.

Oh Kelly,I'm so sorry you had that kind of damage. The storms here are terrible. I have a small stolen of E.teddy bear if yours doesn't make it.

Geez. You have just the right ethic: "thank goodness our house and us are fine"
Look at any death as an opportunity to try a new plant.

((((Kelly))))
We had a similar lil storm come through with small size hail, too.
The rain smelled really good.
It was a short & sweet storm.
Fortunately, nothing was damaged.

Hang in there..they are hardier than we give them credit for.

How awful! I know that glass was a pain to clean up! Were the kids devastated about the sunflowers?

Roopville, GA(Zone 7b)

the storm just popped up and was unexpected and was over in about 10 minutes. the kids are kind of sad about their sunflowers they planted but like the bouquet on the table so they can see them. the oldest 2 start school on friday and the youngest will start monday. it will be kaylees first year of school and i am not looking forward to it : 0
