I have been quite disappointed not to find Justicia carnea seeds for sale on the internet. I did come across a couple of sites offering plants but I can't have those. Please can somebody point me to a good site they know who sells this seed? TIA. Lizzy

Gosh Lizzy, I hope someone comes up with an answer for you. I have a number of plants in my yard and I don't believe I have ever noticed them going to seed and I am a lazy deadheader, the spent flowers usually stay on the plant until they fall off. But they must be there somewhere..............
I'm with you ardesia...I haven't grown carnea but I've grown a couple other ones and don't recall seeing anything that remotely resembled seeds on them.
You might try seedman.com and Top Tropicals (they sell some seeds as well as plants). Those are the two places I usually check when I'm looking for seeds of tropical things--I don't recall seeing Justicia seeds there, but since that's not something I would have been looking for I could have overlooked it. Or try searching in Garden Watchdog--if you search by categories, there's one for tropical seeds and it should come up with a number of companies that you can browse through.
Thank you for your input - I will try GW and see what I find. it is possible that they need something from the wild to fertilise the flowers....
