to plant or not plant?....that is the question

Crozet, VA

Ha-ha. Anyway, I was able to find a good deal on a blue hydrangea this morning. It is in a 5 gallon pot and is looking quite nice and healthy. For any of you who have any experience with hydrangeas, which would be better?

A- leave in pot and wait for cooler weather - September or October?

or

B- go ahead and plant now?

I have never had one of these and don't know much about them. Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Ruby, I'd plant it now, just keep it watered so it is not stressed. Come September, you might not feel like babying your plant, even though your mind and heart wants to.
