Weight Loss Challange July 28 - Aug 5th

Hughesville, MO(Zone 5a)

Ok, I'll try this again. I guess the server was too busy earlier. Hope it goes thru this time.

We are nearing the end of another month and some have been very successful at losing # & " while others of us have barely maintained. We've all fallen off the wagon only to get back up and start again. But we are all determined to win this battle. We also realize it is a lifelong challange and that we have to make eating changes that we will be able to live with over the long haul. Short term radical changes are ok for a while, but they seldom work for long because we just can't live our whole lives with drastic radical changes. Unless of course one has been living almost totally on junk foods.

I just realized I need to get that catfish fillet in the oven to bake. I brought it home from work last night for my supper. It has been marinating in soysauce, garlic and onion powders, spray 'butter', and some season salt. I hope I haven't ruined it with all that seasonings. I just felt like something different than lemon butter and all the dill has gone to seed. They had a lot of salads made up which someone needed to take home so I ended up with several of them. I think I'll make a taco salad for lunch tomorrow as that is the only way I can get much salad into Jack and Kyle. Poor Holly has found herself becoming sick to her stomach when she eats lettuce. Even her homegrown with nothing whatsoever sprayed on it makes her ill.

Debbie, how are you feeling now? You have been so sick for so long I know it has to have taken a real toll on your energy and enthusiasum for life. But I can tell from your posts you are trying hard to be positive and upbeat. Tricia has been thru some rough times too with sickness for herself and her family. I pray for good healthy times for both of you.

Anna, you haven't mentioned your shoulder for a while. Is it doing ok now? I know that had to make doing the milking very hard for you.

Vic, are you doing ok today? You sounded really beat yesterday. But you have had a hard week or 2 also. How is your DD's ankle? Sprains take so long to heal.

Kim & Howie, sounds like you are fighting some difficult times too. It makes eating right so hard sometimes when you feel you are being pounded on all sides by negative things. But the job interviews Howie has been to sound pretty good and your work on the slide shows sounds promising. At least you know what you are doing with a computer.

Pebble, we're awaiting the pictures of the voyage. It has to have been great.

Sandra, how are you doing? Last I remember you posting you had been on a short vacation with a friend. Hope all is going well dietwise now.

GOD bless and keep each of you.
