Height is an important characteristic to know. How tall is it?

I'd say about 10" to 15" in height. Purchased from Wal-mart. Just indicates "Red" on the package. It's doing very well.

Hi, Donna--

Here's a small list of known Crocosmia cultivars from B & B-- but yours could be one of the other 400 (at least) registered or even an unregistered seedling, of course..

Lucifer is probably the best known and widely available (red) c. here in the US.

I didn't notice any that were 10" in height. That's pretty short. Good luck. t.

tabasco,

I plant my bulbs deeper than the norm because we have sandy soil and they won't stand up on their own otherwise. So, that might account for being shorter. But 10" may have even still been a bit conservative... more like the top end I mentioned... 15".
