Heya, Greg! I'm glad you found your way over to the AV & Gessie forum! We have a lot of fun here, and we do a good bit of trading... I think 'Alice's Aussie' may be one that's been shared around a bit (I know Allison, aka Violet_Treasure had one, and she has sent out many boxes of plantlets!), but I also think there are a bunch of new faces on this forum, so chances are good that somebody doesn't have it & would just love one... Do you have a picture you could post?

Oh, here's the PF link with Allison's photo: http://davesgarden.com/pf/showimage/105554/

I've got a couple of episcias, which is plenty for me at the moment as I am still trying to learn how to grow them. Are you propagating anything else? I think September and October are going to be very busy trading months on this forum!

Tell us more about you and what you're growing! :-)

Greg ! Hi ! Alice is the greatest ! She shows no bounderies ! It's the first Epsica " Flame Violet " I bought a few years ago. She was in a little 3 oz. solo cup. Sense Then I shared her 100x's over with friends and family across the World !
Up until past several months you did not see her often and she was exspensive to buy. I only sold 3 of her for $15.00 each and felt bad selling her as I had shared her with so many friend's and family.
I had wanted her around my Birthday time three years ago as I was named after my Granmother's one was Alice. I just got the Allison. And Mom's Alice grow like weeds with the softest lush colorful foliage. When she bring her's every 6 months or so to be trans-planted it always has 4 ft or so of large babies.
Mom calls her Grandma Alice. My one sister in R.I. I have sent her dozens of AV's, Large Strep plants in bloom, Begonias, Epsicas....in the past couple years.
The only one that has lived for her is Grandma Alice. !

I would post a pic of her but my wife apperently let our grandson use the camera and now the lens will not extend, so it's find someone that can fix it or shell out 600 - 800 for a new camera. I know you can get cheaper digitals than that but the one I have has features just for taking pic's of plants and micro shots, and I really like it as my eyes ain't what they used to be.

Greg,

I love your plant. Are you wanting AV leaves in trade or ? I hate trading when it is this hot though.

Fayetteville, NC(Zone 8a)

I will trade for named varieties of AV's. If we work a trade I can tag it and ship it in cooler weather.

One thing about Epsicas they love hot and humid. Most Vendors will not ship them past Sept. 15th.

Here it is still hot and humid thru September but I know most of the country is not.

I might like to try this.....(never had good luck with Episcias indoors during the winter, though!)
Would you be interested in a start of my NOID Kohleria.....there's a photo on here somewhere......

I don't have one started, but can work on that.
