Here she comes!! (actually, "he" - Charles Grimaldi)...
My first brug bloom!
OK, maybe I'm a little over-excited, but I've waited a LONG time for this!!! Can't wait for it to arrive!! Karen
LOL I share your excitement!
Oh Karen, how exciting for you! I remember my first bloom and I was so thrilled....I must have checked it a thousand times. Hopefully it will be open by evening! Enjoy!
LOL Karen. is poor Charlie giving birth? LOL You should have a great weekend with such great entertainment.
I was just as exited as you last year when I had my first blooms,I must have looked at them more than a dozend times thruout the day.
Good luck,keep the pictures coming.
Charlie --- It's about time a man had to go through labor! LOL
Karen, the best part of it will be when the bloom opens and with dusk upon you "he" will send out a lovely exotic scent with the evening breeze. Enjoy.
I totally know what you mean..I was blessed with my first also a few days a go and it is all worth the wait and just the smell well you know now..My hubby did the same to me, every couple minutes I was going out just to smell and was tempted to bring inside just so I could stare at it and get a whiff of the aroma.. He knows I am nuts anyway..hehe
Karen, I have them in ground all over my garden. Probably a dozen or so, and thanks to a good friend I am rooting some more babies. They seem to like my climate and grow to tree size. When they are all in bloom at the same time the scent will bowl you over.
I can start you some cuttings from mine.
Susan
