Hi, I'm new, and holy SMOKES! Pet dental care is $$$$$$$$$$$

I took my old lady down to a new vet today. We've just moved and started using this one on a recommendation from a horsey friend I've got.

She needed to have her teeth cleaned, and some antibiotics 'cause she's got a heart murmer.

They rang me to tell me she had one bad tooth that needed to come out. I said that was fine.

I went back to collect her and it was $438.00! (If you could hear me, that $438.00 would actually sound like a tea kettle on the boil, an ever rising shriek).

I needed CPR right there on the vet's reception desk. Imagine what they'd charge me for that! ; D
