Morning!!!! I don't have any trouble waking up on Friday's !!!
It is still in the 80s outside, but so much cooler still than in the evenings when I get home.
We have a guy coming to mow the yard this morning so we will be free to do some work on flower beds this weekend. I love to mow and weed eat the beds, etc. That has been put on hold for now though because of Carpal tunnel and two herniated disc in my back. The DH HATES yard work, so I don't mind him getting someone to do it, especially in the heat.

Well, I guess this morning thing is not everybody's bag! LOL!! I need to get to work, you late sleeping ladies have a great day!!

Been there, done that. Can't stand too much coffee here. We posted on yesterday cause we couldn't find today and now I'm sooo confused. I'll be writing the 27th all day long. Have a good one.

I'm up and about. Fixin' to try to go work in the garden a bit before the heat is too bad. Who am I kidding, the heat and humidity are always too bad here! Hope y'all have a good day and I'll check back in after beating back the sweet potato vine a few feet!

I just shoved the dog out the back door and it feels pretty warm outside already. The coffee is done, so I'm headed out to water as soon as I have a cup to take with me. I really need to trim around the edges of the porches and beds, but I keep finding reasons to postpone the task until a "cooler" day. Enjoy the day!

I'm up now. Trying to get the fingers moving! :) Haven't been out yet, but it just "looks" cooler!
I want to go nursery shop for a plant to replace all the purple sage I had to dig out bc they were looking fried!
By the way...does anyone know about marigolds and the heat? MIne got tiny brown spots all over the leaves about a week ago.

Sheila...thanks so much for the link...I keep forgetting things...is it that I'm about to turn 55? ha....
If I post the thread every day, so you think you might be able to do the link? That would be great!! I did do it successfully one time right after you taught me how...but I'm not used to doing that!

Well...I borrowed my brother's power cleaner last night and I'm waiting for some "life" to get back into my hands so I can wrestle with it...he says it's like holding a fire hydrant!! I need to power wash my deck today! YUKKKKK

Last year I had marigolds and some handled the heat really well others right next to the one that was flourishing did not- can't figure it out. Anyway I did prune them hard pretty regularly and fertilized them during the growing season. Finally I yanked them only because they were originally planted as filler until the rest of the beds matured.

good morning all......no rain here still...waaaaahhhhh; wish i knew about marigolds....but i manage to kill those too....right now i am barely keeping sages alive....i know i am doing something wrong....just dont know what.....gotta lot of transplanting and cuttings to do today....see yah:)

Connie, I have a smaller power washer that I love. Bruce gave it to me one Valentine's Day (be still my heart)....Got it at HD. I use it all the time because of all the limestone walks, the courtyard, and around the pond. It's mesmerizing after a while. I get started and hate to stop till it's all done. (Works best with an iPod!) Plenty enough pressure for home jobs. I've done the deck at the lake too.
Today...no yard, no plants, no watering. I'm going to San Marcos and hit the Outlet Mall. I'm sure my neighbors must feel sorry for Bruce having to live with someone who's "let herself go!" I run around the yard all day in scuzzies. So...I'm taking cash and credit cards, and will return when my feet get tired or I fill up the trunk! Bah-Bye........

Sandi...I was reading all the postings..not really noticing who was writing what...and read "be still my heart"....so funny...then I knew it must be you! You are so hilarious! Mesmerizing....yes...and I feel like I'm still vibrating! My hernia is going to act up...I just know it!! :>)

Good luck with the fun SHOPPPPPING while I'm wrestling the power washer! I'm just in for a rest...covered with bits of cement...mold....

I have a question for you gals down Houston way. Have any of you ever been to Botanic Treasures Nursery? I checked the garden watchdog and it seems that ordering through their website is somewhat questionable. I was wonderin how they are to deal with face to face, and what you think of the plants they have available. Specificaly Plumerias.

Scoolie...you might post this on tomorrow's "coffee"...most don't hang around here except in the mornings....good luck with your answer. I used to live in Houston but it's been a long time...but it doesn't sound familiar...guess it's new...and maybe the reason for the questionable status?
