Do Cats eat other Cats (dead or alive) ???

Hebron, KY

I didn't have the camera (DH has it on a trip this week) today to take a pic of it, but a little BST (Black Swallowtail) Cat was, it looked liked, eating what was left (when I saw it) of another BST Cat. I was wondering about that. What the Cat was eating had the stripes of its own. It didn't 'look' like a 'Cat', just saw a thin strip of it. He was on the Parsley, but it wasn't Parsley for sure.

Anybody know of this?

Thanks!

It's not unusual, I'm afraid, with some . With some species of caterpillars, I try to only have cats of about the same size together in a cage or container. The larger ones on occasion will eat smaller cats. Perhaps just accidentally? The other cat surely must taste like food.

Linda,

Thanks for answering. The one doing the eating was tiny and it looked like the other was too. I was shocked!
