Rattlesnake Orchids Zone 5-7

Cincinnati, OH

Have a lot of Dwarf Rattlesnake Orchids. They are five years old and should send up the flower spike next year. They are one of the easiest Orchids at the easiest stage. The leave are snakeshin with a white midrib. Goodyera pubescens.

Hi, What do you want in exchange? I'm just getting started with orchids so don't have any orchids. But I have colored cordylines- Red Sister, Sunset, Pink Integrity, Cameroon Miniature, Red Cameroon Miniature, Miss Hawaii (another miniature) and Baby Spoon (also a miniature). Thank you.

I am not sure what Cordylines are. Are they tropical? I am mostly interested in hardy Ericales: Rhododendrons, Wintergreen, etc.

Hi, Yes cordylines are tropical, also called ti plant.
Here's a link: http://davesgarden.com/pf/go/53680/index.html
The ones I have are variegated with pink, red, burgundy, or orange stripes.
I just started some creeping wintergreen, don't have cuttings yet but the way it's growing it won't belong before I do (I'm using it as a ground cover). I have other mint that I can make rooted cuttings of. I have rhodies, just generic purple ones, I could take a cutting and see if it roots (have Dip n Grow, will try rooting!).

Which Wintergreen do you have, Gaultheria? I have the impossible ones: Chimaphila maculata (white stripe) and C. maculata hybrids with no or slight white and one with white veins. I also have Pyrola asarifoila.
There is a striking resemblence of Chimaphila to Goodyera. I have a willow on the way. They are biochemically similar, and have a white midrib.

Yep, creeping wintergreen is Gaultheria procumbens. I'm no wintergreen expert, just bought it for a shade-happy ground cover my dog can eventually lie down on. It's doing very well, has the pretty red berries.

What kind of Rhoddy's are you interested in, I have about 70 different ones may have something you are looking for.

I like Lepidotes (including Ledum*) Vireyas and Azaleas (incl. Tanake*). Also need Pyrola and hard to find Ericales).
Could use another Loiseluria procumbens / Trailing Azalea. The Elepidote I want is President Roosevelt.
