Normal?

Ashdown, AR(Zone 8a)

I received epsicia"Strawberry Patch" in a trade. It's first bloom was that orangey/red w/ lower lip and throat of yellow, next blooms where just the orangey/red w/ yellow throat but now it has two blooms of yellow w/some red streaking. Is this normal or should I re-name it Sybil?

I've had some erratic colors from time to time, but only for short periods of time. In my case, it appears to be environmental factors that trigger the odd blooming.

Yes Keyring is correct environmental factors . Environmental factors Change a lot of things in foliage, colors, in all Gesneraids AVS too.
Epsicas like anyother plant can Sport too.

I had it sitting on a plant stand outside but moved it into my un-finished add-on room then had to move it again because it was getting squooshed when hub's was working on the room so it's back on the light bench in the computer room. We had triple digit temps for a couple weeks and I don't run a/c unless it's very uncomfortable. Since both my hub's and I have outside jobs,we tolerate heat pretty good.

Love your sense of humor... "should I re-name it Sybil?"

I've had a few interesting blooms too. My Soumi's blooms look more like a Chimera bloom.. Yellow but with a white edge. I can't seem to get a pic without blasting it...
