GD, don't you just live the Bird of Paradise your butterfly is on? My grandmother had one of these and I've looked for one for years with no luck and now this year they seem to be everywhere and now I have two! I even collected seeds a few years ago from one that's by the Congress Avenue bridge in Austin, but they weren't mature enough to do me any good. Lovely butterfyl picture. I can never seem to manage a good image that close up.

Yeah the Bird of Paradise is great . . . everything loves them . . . from the butterflies to the bees to the hummers. And of course I do too . . . they're such an unusual flower and they get loaded with them so they provide so much color - especially for a low maintenance plant.
