I am so excited to finally get to actually see my first blooms..I was beginning to think none of mine were going to bloom..So I just had to post my pictures..
Here is such a little plant maybe 2 feet and was the first to bloom and now still has a couple more buds.
I believe it is a Betty Marshall. Here is the side view and you can see how small the plant is and I know I really need to get it into a bigger pot but now I am afraid to with buds on it.
Finally Blooms
And the close up...Now I am hoping the rest will Y and bloom soon..My Whispers is almost 7' and second year but still no blooms on it and these smaller ones blooming so much sooner, I was about to give up...but these blooms well it was all worth it so now I am so totally hooked...
And this one smells just as good..
WOW Vickie! I gather you are so excited. LOL. Your brugs look so happy. And I can see you have 6 points on that pink one. Pretty fancy!
Usually once they start to flower, they will reflower fast!
Great pictures too!
Thanks, I am really and it was my hubby that first saw it blooming and yelled at me, I think he was impressed too since we had been watching the buds forever so I had stopped watching and then it did it and now the pink has about 6 more buds and one should open any day now..I am still very new to growing these so I really don't know what to look for, what is the meaning of the 6 points?
Congratulations! Your blooms are gorgeous.
Erick
Thanks and I see several more that is going to open any day now..Now I know what you all have been talking about..
And a special thanks to Dan and Gordon for sharing these cutting with me...
We finally got a little rain this afternoon so I don't have to water tonight and these sure look better, this heat is just unbearable this year...It makes me feel like I am back in Texas and I can't get over the smell, it is so intoxicating..The second bloom was open this morning when I got up and is a little darker than the first..I sure hope the rest will bloom before winter sets in but they will be going into the greenhouse and maybe I might get lucky..
Thanks for all your encouraging words..
Vickie
