Freshly harvested. Sunflower looks like The Joker and Moulin Rouge crossed. Very pretty,dark burgundy of MR with tips of yellow sometimes,rings of yellow around seedhead other times and combo of both.

The sunflower sounds beautiful. I too have several freshly harvested sunflowers to share if you are interested in trading - - - just let me know, or I can send a SASE if you prefer. I also have white datura seed, purple coneflower seed, purple/white ruffled datura seed, and mixed zinnia seed.

Hey, Red, is there any chance you could put my name on a little packet of those sunflower seeds and throw them into my fall trade box? They sound lovely!
I planted a nice mix of sunflower seeds at the back of my new bed along the neighbor's fence... but they took forever to come up and are currently only about a foot tall! It'll be a race to see if they have a chance to flower before frost. There are morning glories with them, too... My fingers are crossed, but I don't know if they'll be able to put on a show for us.
