Wow! What a fantastic photo!

I sometimes find inspiration for oil paintings from pix I see on DG. With your permission, I would like to someday possibly work up a painting from your Angel Trumpet close up.

Attached is a scan of a painting of Castor Oil plant leaves I did from a photo by permission from GardenWife. The finished painting was 4 x 6 ft and I donated it to a local HIV/AIDS fund raising art auction back in March 2006 where it sold for $1500 (all funds going to the fund raiser).

Thanks for the lift in spirit your photo provided me today!

Thanks, Vicki. Your photo captured the essence of how Georgia O'Keefe painted flowers and I greatly admire her work. Although my style is definitely more photorealistic than O'Keefe, your photo will give me the opportunity to explore the inner world of flowers that she expressed much better than I ever could.

Thanks also for your willingness to share the photo for my creative purposes!
