Here they are. The fuel for (another) new addiction. I have four pups from 'Ruby' (middle row left), one of the noID green (middle row right), one from the noID pink (bottom row middle) and one from the 'Black Mystic' (bottom right). I know these are nothing unusual but if anyone is interested, I'd love to trade for pups from any variety that I don't have.
My Little Cryptanthus Collection
The top one looks like "Elaine." The pink one in the middle at the bottom looks like "Marian Oppenheimer" or maybe "It."
There are hundreds of Crypt hybrids, far too many in my humble opinion.
I think you are right about the top one. You are also right that there are tons of hybrids so identifying a noid is really hard for such a novice as me. I'm really hooked though.
They are all cute and pretty love your front middle pink one best !
Sorry I don't have any pups to trade right now. One of mine has two pups but but I don't their large enough.
Your crypts are lovely. I live in Covington. Where did you find these?
:-) Johanna
Hey Flicker! I ordered the Black Mystic & traded for one of them; but, the others I found at our Home Depot or Lowes. I'm ordering from www.bromeliadsrus.com though. They are in Picayune.
Thanks for the address. It sounds like a good day trip. I saw a pink colored crypt at HD the other day, but I have it already. My interest is actually tillandsias, passiflora, brugs, succulents and sansevierias.
I sometimes go to the Cov market. Are there many plants at the Mande. market?
I haven't been to the Trailhead in a few months. There used to be a few but nothing spectacular. I've never been to the Covington market but I've heard it's better than the Mandeville one.
HD's been really well stocked lately. There for a while there was just nothing there. I found two amorphophallus paeonifolius there last week in addition to a well stocked houseplant section.
