Too neat, Ann! We have little teeny olive green insect eatesr called the Japanese White Eye (has a white ring around his eye) that hop around my pots, collecting ants, I 'spose! I never have the camera ready!!!

Thank you, Ann. Reminds us why we cultivate plants in the first place- to be a little closer to nature.

That's cool Ann. I have a couple of hoyas hanging in the magnolia tree near the bird feeder. We get mostly finches this time of year so I suspect that's who have been leaving fertilizer on the leaves. Haven't actually seen them in the plants though.

I love it! And I agree with Mark, closer to nature is a good place to be.

So sweet!
I love the little house finches that make their nests around here. The male has such a beautiful song. We have a lot of mockingbirds here too. They are the only bird I know of that sings in the middle of the night. Dumb!
None of them seem to want to get into the plants however. I guess there are lots of other nesting spots.

Really neat photo's. The finch is such a cool little bird. There is a heron that flys back and forth along the creek out back, something queer about seeing a bird that huge flying.
