Finally a bloomName of it?
Maybe, Plum Crazy? It's just beautious! Gosh, LavinaMae, 4 years? The first bloom? Gardening makes us patient souls, huh?
You have got to love the hardys, especially the size of them. I have about 18 planted, and I do have the plum crazy, it is a very pretty one.
Lavina,
Looks a little like mine, I'm told it is a swamp hibiscus. I planted it (a rooted cutting) last July and thought it died over the winter. Then this spring it started growing, reaching 4 1/2 feet, and then in June it was full of 7" blooms!! I harvested my first seed pod today, and guess I need to do some reading on this site to see how I will go about growing more from seed. I'll probably only have 4 or 5 more blooms this season from the looks of it, but boy, she bloomed like crazy for a couple of months! What a show.
Guardians, mine is only 2 and 1/2 feet tall and came from Georgia. Buchanan to be exact. I love this plant its so beautiful.
I hope it ends up with seeds.
Lavina
