I recently bought my first house and was happy to see some tulips and daffodils come up this year. Problem is I do not think they get adequate sunlight and were rather disappointing when they bloomed. I want to transplant them to a better area of both more sun and fertile soil; problem is I do not know how. Should I pull the bulbs and dry them out? Some are rather small as well. Can they be brought back to life by any means? The house is 20 yrs old and I would imagine the bulbs are too.
How to transplant bulbs??
Bulbs transplant easily when dormant, so you should'nt have any problems. Probably best to get the daffs dug soon, as they break dormancy sometimes as early as August and start rooting. Sometime tulips are'nt the best perenializers, but daffs are quite tough and reliable.
