Thunbergia erecta

I overwinter this in the basement and it's been blooming like crazy. I just luv it!

How did you over winter it? Did you cut it back before putting it in the basement? Did it get light down there? Did you water it at all? How much water?

I just kept it in the pot. The basement is cooler than upstairs, so quite a few of my tropicals go there. I had it near a big light and watered it when the soil was dry, usually once a week. I hope this helps.

It does help, thanks. I have quite a few tropicals that I have to over winter and I can't decide on the total dormancy, or the cooler room with afternoon light and a little bit of water. Now I know these are going in a place like yours!

I did notice by trial and error that some plants will need more water than others.
