Outlook Express 'how to stop a popup'?

Everytime I go in to check my mail, then when I am done, I get this annoying popup.

This is what it says:
To free up disk space, Outlook Express can compact messages This may take up to a few minutes.
OK / Cancel

How can I stop this. I never use to be bothered with it, and I have no idea why it is doing it NOW.
Can someone PLEASE help me to get rid of it.
