I suspect your little friend is not a moth, but a leafhopper. I'm not as familiar with all the species of leafhoppers so I can't identify it, but I'm pretty sure that's what it is.

I think that DawnG is right, it is a leaf-hopper, probably the Flatid Planthopper (Anormenis chloris) http://bugguide.net/node/view/28532/bgimage
which can be green or white.

Yippee! Happy dance! I did some more research and I think I feel comfortable to add this little guy to our DG bug files. Anormenis chloris, Flatid Planthoppers in the Family Flatidae
