I know the picture will be posted tomorrow, but I just had to get this off my chest!
I received a cutting of lobbii so I stuck it in a 6 inch pot and with all the others I cut sum up and so on.....I noticed umbels forming ,I thought well you poor thing, maybe next time....Running around MOVING INTO THE HOUSE!!! hooray!!!!!! Well I kept passing and they hadn't fallin off yet.....I am finding myself staring at this cutting and wonder is this normal? is it? I am getting a nice fat umbel from a cutting? If it is normal,it's a first for me,but if it's not it kinda throws out the whole I need a big plant for it to bloom!! Now I read somewheres you should never fert. a cutting,Well when I read it, I figured I had doomed my cuttings because I was misting with Elanores....I will post the picture and if that umbel makes it I will post,I'm calling it Super plant LOL
Dianne
A first for me.......
YIPPEE, moving into the new house !!!!!, Diane I am so happy for you and your family, how awesome....... As for your umbels, I have heard of small cuttings getting a umbel, but umbel 's', never. If it's not normal, then I wish something as abnormal like that would happen to my hoya's. Ya know I mist my new cuttings all the time with Eleanors, I also give them superthrive, heck I give them african violet food. They all seem to be fine. I wonder why your not supposed to feed them anything. Keeping fingers crossed that " Super Plant" doesn't drop her umbels.......
Congrats again on the new house....
GOOD ON YA', Dianne... re: not fertilizing I think the reason is that hitting a new cutting with Nitrogen does more harm than good if the cutting has no roots. Eleanors, however, I use also...as a general 'feel good-get mellow and settle in' type fertilizer... I stay away from the HIGH first number until the plant is established.
H. lobbii is really cool, I think... really loves to bloom - as you can see!!!
Congratulations on moving into your house from the trailerlll that must feel REALLY good!!! You have been thru a lot, dear friend...and have done so with a good heart and spirit, in spite of what else is going on. I am honored to be your friend!!!
Carol
Dianne that is probably the best news I have heard in some time! Congratulations on getting into your new house. I know you have been to heck, through heck, and back this last year, so it is absolutely wonderful to hear of this good news. Post pictures of your place once you get all moved in. I am really just so excited for you. You deserve so much more, but this is a start!!!
Ann
YAY, Dianne!!! This IS good news, especially for those of us whose hoya "collection" is mostly a collection of CUTTINGS! =0)
Anxious to see your picture!
Betsy
Congratulations on moving into your new home - HOORAY! Karen
Happy to hear you are moving back into your house Dianne! What a miserable almost 12 months it must have been. Very neat on the H. lobbii buds. Hope your hoya collection is back up in the triple digits!
Dianne what a wonderful blessing to be able to move into your new home! Look for another loaf of Friendship bread when I start my holiday baking!! Interesting find on your lobbii.
Blessings,
Awanda

Dianne -
Nothing like hoya buds to brighten ones day, huh? And how WONDERFUL to hear you are moved into your home and things are finally falling back into place for you and your family. I'm sure it's been a tough road and you've been in our thoughts.
Bets

Carol, it's amazing after living in a 13by30 foot trailor...Grant it my stove isn't connected(which is okay by me) lol and all the furniture isn't here..We are all so happy!!! Uno (my baby girl doggie) even is enjoying it!!! Will take pictures once we are settled...You know I regret so many things I left behind...But am so grateful to have my home back!! I guess only time will heal this feelin of lost..I also know things would have been worst without everyones cards and packages..I feel honored to know such a wonderful group of people..It's funny but living away from home going threw all of this the only normal enjoyment in my life at that time was Daves Garden..I guess we get in this habit and it just feels like old times....
Thank you all!!!!!
Dianne
Tami they are getting ready to open will post a picture!!
