My Hoyas played without me!

Philomath, OR

Hey All, this has been a crazy busy summer for me so when I finaly got a day home and a few minutes free, I naturaly started playing plants. I was walking through the rooms of my home and was amazed by the growth on most if not all my babies! I started a new fertilizer 2 weeks ago and I think I love it :~) The plants sure seem to like it.

Anyway, while playing plants in my youngest daughters room I discovered my plants were playing without me! The picture is of Krimson Queen, Macgillivrayi and Sussuela all vining together. I purchased the KQueen at Rite Aid several months ago as 3 small individual plants and I got the other 2 from the QP. They must love this window cause' they are all growing like weeds!

I hope you all are having a great summer and your not baking like me here in Oregon without air conditioning :~) We are headed to the river again tomorrow for another week of sun, fun and searching the river bottom for pretty rocks and petrified wood. No cable, no computer (sigh), and no cell coverage. It's remote, but we have a sink, shower, toilet (thank you Lord:~) and my aunt lives just upriver and she has a computer and internet access. It's slow slow slow, but at least I can keep an eye on what you all are up to and what's blooming for you.

May God bless all us hoya lovin' nuts! -joanne

Please ignore the dirty window, it's the maid's decade off. I only wash windows twice a month and spraying the Elenor's VF11 keeps them dirty all the time and in this picture I just sprayed so they are wet too! Oh, well! -joanne

Hey Joanne, LOL my maid has the decade off too. Darn her anyway. Your hoya are looking good. They must really love where you have placed them. I can't wait to go on a vacation, I always like to see the progress of my babies while I am away. Playing with them all day everyday, ya just don't see alot of growing going on. Have fun at the river...

Oooops, I think all of our maids are vacationing together (LOL). Joanne, I love how nicely your plants play together. That is hilarious. Now, if they would just bloom together ...

My garden muscle has the decade off too! DH and I (otherwise known as Manuel and Manuela) hauled a pallet of sod home yesterday. Oww.....every bone in my body hurts today. I also have wonderful friends and neighbors who drop by when they see the truck loaded down with something. Yesterday they sat at the patio table and sipped margaritas while we worked. Made it kind of festive but no less painful. Leave it to two dumb Texans to lay sod in the middle of the summer!

The hoya are looking good Joanne!

LOL yes, in the middle of summer AND in the middle of a heat wave. Ha.
Lets all go to Susan's and drink margaritas & watch M & M lay sod. ;-)

Oh, my, Marcy. I'd feel so bad, I'd probably put my margarita in a "beer hat" and get up to "help" them lay that sod - but have you seen anything sillier than a tall, flabby woman with a margarita-filled beer hat stumbling around and getting in the way of Susan and her hubby as they try and lay sod? Besides, I might spill. So, maybe I'll come over after they're done.

Uh, Ann......you would fit right in......

Marcy, it's always a heat wave here in July. It's that 90 something which feels like 100 something per the .com

If you spill there would be two dogs vying for whatever it was before it hit the ground...

OK, Susan. I'm on my way. ;-)
