This is that little H. heuschkeliana (yellow) I got from the QP a while ago. Only one bloom right new, but she sure had a lot for awhile. Delightful.
Two cuties
Beautiful plants Marcy!
Could you tell me how you grow your H. heuschkeliana? Mine is alive but it's not really thriving - I need some advice.
Ann
Marcy you definately have a green thumb! Your hoyas are just awesome.
Blessings,
Awanda
BEAUTIFUL Marcy. I adore your H. thomsonii.
Mel
very pretty, Marcie! Not only are your THUMBS green, but with hoyas that look like that, your whole ARM must be green! =0)
Thanks all, but I can't take credit for the beauty of these two. I just got them for the QP, so all the "green thumbness" is hers. Ha.
I just hope I can keep them looking as wonderful.
Ann....this is my first H. heuschkeliana of any size. I have also had a couple of tiny little cuttings that have hung on and stayed alive, but have not really done any growing to speak of.
I have this one now hanging in a shaded area on the side where I keep my other small plants for the summer. With all this heat and humidity, all my plants are doing well right now, so I can't say that I am doing anything special to make it look good.
It did have lots of blooms so I hung it at nose level where I would pass by to water & then I would grab it and take a whif of that butterscotch aroma. Ha.
Other folks on this forum have grown it longer however, so can answer that question better than I.
Marcy
Marcy, I agree, there both adorable plants. H. thomsonii has been very sloooooooooow for me. I keep it just because the leaves are so adorable. I found a peduncle after 4 years, so I am excited.... It may take another 4 years to bloom though :(
Very lovely plants Marcy. That's so nice that your heuschkeliana has already bloomed so much for you! I showed your Thomsonii picture to mine for encouragement. Like Tami, mine's a very slow grower, and has only put one vine out. But as soon as said vine has stopped growing lengthwise, I'm going to Take Ann W's advice and pinch the end of it to encourage some branching out. Like you, I can wait for blooms, they're pretty, but the leaves are very beautiful all on their own.

Marcy - your heuschkeliana is gorgeous - wish mine would grow like that! Karen
