what do you think?

i have had this mug for a long time and we don't drink coffee so it just sits in the cabinet. well here is what i did with it : ) i think it looks good with this a.v. in it. i just got this a.v. about 2 weeks ago. it is an optimara but i can't figure out which one. i have looked at the optimara page and tried to figure it out but can't really decide. it is more purple than in picture. it is in a pot just sat down in coffee cup. i think the pot is a 4 " that it came in. the coffee mug is larger than a normal one and wider. i want to find more big mugs like this!

Ahhhhh...it looks really cute in that mug! What a great idea! You might want to check at the thrift stores and yard sales for more mugs.

I am going to look myself tomorrow when I go to the yard sales. Thanks for the great idea!

Yes a lot of us have 'cutie pie' cups, bowls etc that we put ours in.
I have way too many! :)
I shop all the garage sales & Antique shops looking for just the right things for my plants.

What do I think? I think that AV is cute as a bug, sitting in that mug!

I'm always on the lookout for little bowls, deep saucers, votive holders, etc to make decorative holders for AV pots. Those shorter/wider soup mugs would be just right for a 4 inch pot, I'll bet! I picked up a couple of glass dishes with short, straight sides that I think were probably wine bottle coasters, and I've even found a couple of glass ash trays that make pretty saucers. I bring home a pretty, figure out which pot fits exactly right into it, then find a plant for that pot!

thanks everyone : ) i wanted to put it in an antique tea pot i have but wasn't the right fit. i have got to find a pot to fit inside that tea pot! i was putting up dishes when i saw the mug and thought it might just work.
