Now that I have Starbucks locked in for coffee grounds, I just found a brewery which can give me all the barley husks and remainders (still with the protein and sugars in.) What should I do with these? Since I live very close to the city, can anyone suggest other places I might tap for soil enrichment or mulch materials?

Use em in your compost! Or layer them lasagna-style.
Try Starbucks, grocery stores, etc.
There should be an unlimited supply at the brewry. Let me know the beer type and I'll help you get more hops and barley hulls. LOL
