Hello all!

I posted this originally over in the vines forum but thought it might be better to post it here as well. Here is a link to the original post: http://davesgarden.com/forums/t/628342/ . Any help is appreciated.

I have Lavender Lady in my back garden. I've had it now for four years. My sister bought it for me because she loves her so. Her's is in full all day sun. It blooms like crazy. Mine gets alot of shade and does not bloom profusely. Both trellis' are covered in vine but have yet to bloom this year. If it follows the usual pattern it will bloom a little before fall. But not enough to brag about.

The same thing happens to my passionflower vine. If it blooms it's in the fall. I haven't tried any insecticide because I like the Gulf Fritila butterflies.

Ok here is my 1 1/2 cents worth.

Last year I tried Lady Margaret. It didn't do all that well, though started out pretty good. I finally shovel prunned it because although I like the gulf coast frit. butterflies I hate the cats- yikes they are ugly.

My daughter has incense and it has always been a great bloomer. I dug up one of her runners and planted it in shade last year. I was hoping the cats wouldn't find it but the did, so I hoped the thing would go away. It didn't. While last year in the shade it really did nothing, this year it has grown beyond beliefe and has forgotten that it started in shade. I have tons and tons of flowers.

This seems to something of a pattern for me, 1st year so so and sometimes I wonder if I even want it; 2nd year WOW!

Hope this helps.
