I'm not quite sure where to post this - could be it should have gone under handyman! I would like to paint a trellis structure with a water sealer but if this is going to harm the climbing plants then it's a no-no. If it's OK, then how soon after painting will the vines be allowed to touch the structure? Thanks!

I've used Thompsons Water Seal just make sure the trellis is completely dry before the palnts touch it. Wait at least 24 hours.
