Moretz, it grows wild here in N Texas and its 105 currently. Mine seem to dry out in full sun but they are only single stalks and the wind kills them. Group plantings would probably work a lot better. I have seen this species for sale called "Golden Buddha Belly" or something like that for $60-70 3 gallon. I'm not sure how big it gets, the field I cut them from had some 20' stalks. 30' would probably be realistic with good soil. I was surprised to see they survived last winters 12f freeze. It does not seem to be a fast growing species but is sprouting new culms.
