100 degree temps...plus, i am stoopid and bought mexican sage and asters...should i wait and plant when it gets cooler
and just pot them in larger pots....or plant them in the ground now...??

I don't know about Asters, sorry, but I do know that Mexican Sage is tough as nails. I'd plant them now. My daughter dug one of hers up left it in a pot w/ practically no dirt for a few days, then planted it. It's doing great!

I agree. I think the Sage will do fine. My dd planted five sage plants last week and so far they are doing fine. They get a lot of sun too.

Don't know about the Asters.

I would plant them both in the ground. As long as they're watered and mulched they should be okay. I just bought some angelonia and it has to be watered every day but it's still alive and blooming!

Fly I just bought some Angelonia too and I was wondering about the water requirements. I have been watering it daily but it may need more. ? It looked a little sulky this morning. Still blooming though.
My plant is in the ground.

Mine will flag in the late afternoon, but this is from the heat, and later it perks back up. If yours stays droopy, even in the morning, I would say it needs more water. Water it good and put some mulch around it.

I know the middle of the summer isn't the best time to buy, but sometimes I am weak.

weak doesn't describe it for me.....i hate not buying!!!!
