Trail away,is there anything I can do?

Andalusia, AL(Zone 8b)

My poor little Trail along. While on vacaction my neighbor left it sitting in water for I don't know how long.I took it out of the pot and set it on paper towels for almost 2 days to drain. Then repotted in new soil. Its poor leaves are all turning mushy now.Is there anything I can do for poor Trail along???

So Sorry. It is so hard to loose a good bloomer. About the only thing you can do it let it dry out and see if it survives. It's worth a try.

Jan, I think you've done everything you can for it... if its roots have declined, you might think about putting it into a smaller pot to reduce the risk of the potting mix being too mosit for it.

Good luck, and I'm glad Allison has your back!

Well I keep hearing about the wonders of water w/ hydrogen peroxide and water sol- NOT full strength. I did try it on a Pathos that I'd over watered and it worked. It is supposed to bring oxygen to the roots, which they don't get when waterlogged. I don't have any precise ratio of water to hydrogen peroxide, I am a very imprecise person.
I think your best bet is to take Allison up on her offer, sorry.

Good luck

Thanks everyone.I will put in in a small pot.The stem is really mushy not firm at all. So I think its a gonner. But just in cas I'll try everything.

Allison,Thank you I appreciate it. Your a sweetie.

The "recipe" I've seen most often is 1 tablespoon of 3% Hydrogen Peroxide (household strength) per quart of water. HTH
