Frog Pictures

Dallas, GA(Zone 7b)

A couple of years ago, we were blessed with an abundance of frogs, including one regular Green Frog (bronze subspecies) who hung around for the entire summer. I'm posting a few pictures here. More (many more!) are on NatureAtHome@shutterfly.com

Georgia, pretty cool! don't see many frogs here. only when they get in my pool and can't get out. then I hope I get to them in time for rescue. those 2 in the dish garden make a winning picture for sure.

I love Bullfrogs! I love Green Frogs though too.

Those floating planters are awesome. What a nice island oasis for your frogs.

Lauren, I cannot find the thread where you showed the difference between Leopard Frogs and the other. But, I remember the jawline. Would you be so kind as to post pictures, and tell me the kind again? The ones in my pond have a definite, pale green to blue-green jaw. I have at least six in my little pond, and today, one twice as big on the path. They do not panic at my presence, but watch me. I love having them around. Thanks, BAM

Egads BAM, I think I used her photos and added lines using Photoflitre and when I was done, I deleted her images from my desktop. I will do my best to find that thread.

Not exactly a jawline BAM. I did use her photos in that thread though. I also deleted them. But, I found the thread which saves me a lot of work fiddling with that Photofiltre application again. I'm not too good with editing like that. Here ya go BAM-

The apartment complex down the road has a huge pond, and lately the bullfrogs have been serenading every night. Love that sound, and somehow find it very soothing; unlike the darn rooster next door, who starts up at all hours and is definitely not soothing... All a matter of personal preference, I guess.

The photo does not compliment this frog as it should be. Just getting used to a new camera.

I like the chorus line of croakers myself. One of the benefits of living in a rural area.

Congratulations on your new camera Mark!

This little guy stays on my split leaf Philo, which is under a bug zapper. He seems to change colors in different light. John
