I have six 1-year-old plants that I am removing to make space for other plants. I haven't had great success getting them to bloom. I think that this Southwest Native does not like our wet Northwest climate. The leaves and plants, however, look very healthy and vigorous. They grew and remained green all through the winter.
Here is a photo of them in bloom: http://www.waysidegardens.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/StoreCatalogDisplay?storeId=10151&catalogId=10151&langId=-1&mainPage=prod2working&ItemId=44604&PrevMainPage=gatepage&scChannel=Gate%20ProvenWinners&OfferCode=SH3 . (Not taken from my garden.)
I'm interested in trading for anything on my list: http://home.comcast.net/~tahota/trade/want.htm , or for other zone 5 hardy perennials that take shade or part shade. The plants are about 5" up to gallon pot size.
CLOSED: Have: Penstemon virgatus 'Blue Buckle'
I would love these too!
As you know, I have euphorbia cyparissus; cyparissus 'fen's ruby'; lathyris; x martini
For shade I have variegated violets: viola 'mt. fuji'; helleborus foetidus
or I send you a list of some siberian iris or tall bearded iris.

Hi I have a named hosta that prefers 3 hours or less of shade. I would need to go out and look at the name. I also have purple spiderwort that loves shade and dampness. LMK Thanks
