Everything terribly dry here. What's left of my ponds have little water in them, more like a bog now. Today at noon with temps in the 100s, I looked thru the kitchen window and saw this little fellow alone searching for water. I grabbed the camera and a distance lens and snapped these not so great pictures, thru the window...the subject matter was great., if the filming was not. It is rare to see deer out during the heat of the day here. I have never before saw a yearling alone. I suspect it had somehow lost it's mother. He lingered around the pond for half an hour or more; also unusual
