Hi all! Just wanted to ask your opinions on this plant food. Has anyone tried it? I've heard and read so many amazing stories about this product. Someone in California has it on Ebay now. I know it is not available here in Maryland at least I have never seen it. Really would like to try it if only as a foliar feed. Whatcha think?

I love VF-11 and lot's of people on DG's use it. You do not need to spend high prices buying it on Ebay. You can buy it whole sale from Eleanor or from many stores on line ! Our first thread in this forum is a sticky with many links. It has several links about VF-11 also Eleanor's web sight and so much more.
I can't beleive Ebay is selling it when anyone can buy it .

Snow, in previous discussions about it, I think it came up that Ace hardware stores should be able to order it.... but I never followed up on that locally. If you find a place that will order a case, I'll split it with you!
Hi Critter...that sounds good! Trying to think of where an Ace Hardware is around here. There may be one in Mt. Airy...not sure. I'll check the phone book. Would be good not to have to pay extra shipping if possible.

That's great ! You will like it. Make sure you leach your plants, re-pot or don't use fertilizer for a month before using VF-11 it must be used a long.. Adding Superthrive or other food with it will only over does your plants and cause problems. Good Luck.

If I'm using the Bayer soil you recommended, can I still use VF-11? I bought some, but was afraid to use it. I haven't used any other plant food since repotting a lot of my plants in the Bayer soil.

Did you add perlite . What size bags were your able to get. You got the bayer 3-1 with bug killer right. I used it 2-3 months went threw at least 10 bags trans-planting all plants and babies potting up...
Now the only place here that sell it is Lowes and they never have it anymore. Please let me know.

I'm pretty sure the one I bought is the same one you recommended - the one with bug killer, food, etc. that lasts 3-4 months. I bought three bags over a month ago, and am down to the last bag. The only place I found it was Lowes, and I think they were 20lb bags. I'm going to need some more for myself, so I will probably be going there sometime in the next week. I'll let you know if they have any.
When I make up my soil mix, it's usually equal parts soil, vermiculite and perlite. The vermiculite and perlite I buy directly from a nursery. It's the only place I have been able to find vermiculite, so it's just easier to get the two in one place. Plus... it's on the way home from work. They don't carry AVs though. :(

please let me know how much. If not hard for you to do so maybe ship Fed-Ex or UPS are best for large items .
