Hi Everyone
My name is Deann, and I live in Michigan. My sister lives in Ft. Worth, and from time to time I ask for your help on growing different plants in your state.
My question to you today is. Have you ever heard of a Frost Proof Gardenia. Its outdoor flowering shrub. If you have, can you give me some tips on how to keep this plant healthy and live with the heat and humidity that you folks have on a daily basis.
Thanking you in advance. I would also like to take this opportunity to invite ya'all to the Michigan Forum sometime.

Looking for help from Texas Gardeners
Hi deann, there is a cold hardy Gardenia....'Kleim's Hardy', that is hardy to zone 7, zone 6 if protected. I'm not sure what zone Ft worth is in. That's the only one I know of :)
I'm not sure but I think Ft. Worth is zone 7. Depending on the city. I live halfway between Houston and Dallas/Ft. Worth and I have a gardenia in the ground that does great.
You might put it in a pot to start with and see how it does until you can get more information.
I'll have to jump over to the Michigan forum and visit sometime. ;)
