The morning walk is full of great flushes...just had to share....
Maya with one Hawaiian Double White in there....
OH NO...she took the camera again
It sure pays to fertilize!!! I have been sprinkling a TBLSP of Miracle Gro directly under the plant about once a week...we get about 4" of rain a week....if we are lucky! Every 3 weeks or so, I alternate with a Palm/Citrus fert. that has lots of Micros. I know I am not posting much here...but I read you guys a lot and have just been so busy.... Aren't we all?
Hugs all round...
Carol
Carol, I'm so envious. Your plants are wonderful and such bloom! With all the rain I am getting, my plants are just giving me yellow leaves :(
Tussee
Carol, everything looks beautiful and I am glad you took your camera along so you could share the beauty with us.
We had nothing but rain here this spring...75 straight days!!! and all the leaves got tiny...so the fert has really helped...
Thanks BN...
Carol, everything looks wonderful. I LUV that big banana-like/traveler's palm looking plant in the second picture. I'm going to try your MG routine and see if it helps mine.
PLEASE take your camera out more often.
Barb
Your place is sure maturing from when you started a few years back, it's been lovely to watch. Thanks for the update on your lovely fowers. Oh to be in Hawaii....
Carol - such pretty pics! I miss my gardens!
I'm sure glad someone got a hold of the camera and took some pictures of your place!! You have a Lotta Blooming going on there Carol.
Aloha Spirit does look to have petite blooms but sure is blooming with the Spirit of Hawaii..
Aloha Dancer is a beauty too. I can just imagine it dancing in the tropical breeze!!!!!!
What a show, I remember when you started planting your road. Great job.
Carol,
If the two varieties that you sent to me are pictured here,
I'll be tempted to camp out with the flower pots so I won't
miss anything!!!
Oh! what a treat in store -
Louise
Carol, I hope you always carry your camera with you, you have such beautiful Brugs.

Oh Carol, your brugs are just great!! We need many more pictures of your garden. They always give me a thrill.
And I love your ALOHA name and brugs! Just beautiful!
Great pictures, Carol. Everything looks great.
Thanks, guys...y'all make me feel so GOOD!
Louise...I did send you the pink Aloha Spirit...and also a small white flowered one with a wonderful scent, long tendrils but just a bit bigger than the pink one.
The 'road' IS growing...FAST. Will send more pics... DH finished his gate and installed it...the palms are taking off!!! The weeds are growing very quickly, thank you very much, and the mornings have been rainy turning to windy so haven't been about to 'RoundUp' in a long time..... Maybe this morning?
I am looking for a Grant to cover the cost of the fertilizer these guys guzzle!!! LOL
Carol
Try here Carol!
http://www.grants.gov/
Thanks, Mary... Can't say more or I will sound too political.
Carol
Well shoot Carol, if you get a grant I want one too. What a smart idea!! LOL
So post more pictures. Your place is like paradise.
Someone is going to get a grant for developing that first blue/purple Brug ..... after all, didn't they once give a $50,000 grant for researching the best way to open an english muffin? Fork or knive? (Or is that just one of those legends that didn't really happen)
LOL Mary, I read that too. Your tax dollars at work.
With our Tax $$$$, I believe anything!!!
If it isn't raining tomorrow, I will take the camera again...there are some wonderful 'accidental wonders with brugs happening.... Like...putting them in where there was the proper (I hoped) shade/sun, enough cinder to plant and now that they are big...the view is perfect. Serendipity. Intelligence had NOTHING to do with it!!!
QUESTION: When a brug becomes just too leggy or arm-y...do you generally prune carefully...or just whack it back. I belong to the 'whacker' club...and it seems to work. Examples tomorrow. Stay tuned.... adios.
Where you live Carol, whack away. I bet everything is just so happy!
More pictures p l e a s e ...... kinda concerned.
Judy
Concerned?
When the rains stop will take more pics...the flushes are fading now...but more things are blooming.... When the rains 5" so far stop and the sun shines for a day or two...everything jumps to bloom.
She just means she missed you, and your pictures too.
How sweet! Thanks so much. I have been scarce...just so darn busy! And I am reminded, all of the time, how wonderful and loving this Brug forum really is.... thanks guys!!!
And everytime I catch a waft of the fragrance, or see an incredible flush and see a lovely blossom, I think of all of you who have help me.
Aloha...
