Night Shots

Jones Creek, TX(Zone 9a)

Just had an Idea given to me by a newbe............TexasLou. Show us some night shots and tell us how you did them.

So many of our new brug growers have not experienced the night shots so many of us have. They need to see how the brugs can Shine and Smell after sunset. I know so many of you have some wonderful shots taken of your favorites at night.............Kell, Kin, and many others I have seen some "take your breath away shots".....

This is an unnamed white, one of the first brugs I had......... now lets see what yall have....

Great picture Dee!

Dee...
What a Beautiful Night shot you have taken!!! I didn't realize (or just forgot) you take photos at night also. Thanks for sharing and building my confidence in night time photography.. I saw you post this yesterday but just couldn't get into posting anything at the time. It wasn't the best of days.

I will share a few photos and I'm still working on getting it down to a science. Hundreds of pics later and many a delete of entire folders later. I get a few that come out good.
I think the brugs with yellow to orange color blooms really look like they are glowing when I use a 6V flashlight. I place the flashlight in a regular plastic grocery bag. The white or milk colored ones work best for me. This softens the light from the flashlight.
You also need a tripod, patience and knowledge of your camera functions.

I also use an LED flashlight for the single blooms.
I hope some others jump in and share some advice.
I'm still learning and experimenting

What's wrong with me???? Every time I see pictures like these,
I say to myself "I have to have, I have to have, " endlessly.

How does one keep the addiction in control????

I know we will see more as time goes by. I am going to take a few more tonight and see what I can come up with. I will try a few experiments and get some better shots. I know there are lots of ways to do it and it does make some really nice pictures.

Kin, yours are really nice and you can try some expirements to and we will see what else you come up with. Ada and Delisa thanks for posting, what are the brugs you used, MM?

Well shoot, you guys have such great ones, I must take a flashlight out on my next nightime foray. I love the effect!

LOL Delisa, what a girly girl you are. You have matching PINK tags. Aren't you the mad hybridizer.
