I'm a newbie with a couple questions. I've browsed through the stickies trying to find the answers for myself....... Maybe it's there and I just missed it...but I couldn't find it. So I thought I'd ask you all......
So now that my Plummie bloomed (for the first time!) - - NOW WHAT? Do you leave the bloom stalk on? Cut it off? Will it re-bloom?
.....and what exactly is the "inflo"?
Thanks for your help guys & gals!
Betsy
After the blooms - now what?
You could leave the inflo alone aka that stick the flowers were growing on :)
She may produce more flowers on it plus who knows she may throw a seedpod..
I sometimes cut mine off before it flowers in the first season so that she will keep the energy for the rooting process it's up to you..
Move those rocks aside and see if white or beige little roots are protruding out of the soil if so repot her into a bigger pot to keep up with her fast growing root ball.
This is the key to a fast growing plumie... the trick is to stay one step ahead of her and
she will reward you each year..
Now that she is in the flowering process so early as a cutting feed her weekly with a liquid
fertilizer thats high in Phosphorus aka the middle number you see on most labels.
I sometimes use Peter's because it has the micronutrients in it also unlike most other
common fertilizers.
I use half strength until she grows a bit more..

just let it grow....don't cut anytyhing....bob
I agree not to cut anything. Let the inflo either bloom again or fall off naturally.
Wow, I didn't even ask a question and got lots of good information. I have been bitten with the plumeria bug! You guys are great! Thanks for giving us newbies help
