Hello All,
I planted 30 KY bean seeds about 6-7 weeks ago. They sprouted up beautifully to about 8-10 inches tall. Last week all of the leaves fell from the sprouts, but they leaved out again a couple of days ago. Now a few of those leaves have fallen off.
The sprout vines look healthy and are green with small outshoots of leaves on them.
Is this the natural way KY beans produce?
Before you ask, "no", I'm not a [real] gardner. :)
Thanks for reading.

My amazing KY beans...
Hi,
I also planted Kentucy wonder pole beans along my chain link fence. They are climbing the fence now and have blooms. I'm guessing some of the yellow leaves are from a watering issue. I am just guessing though. Maybe some of the more experienced vegetable gardeners can answer that one. Have you fertilized at all? Seems I read somewhere that beans are heavy feeders ????
THANKS, Loon, for your response. I have not used any fertilizer of any kind on anything. What plants are growing look very healthy, even my KY sprouts. I will fertilize tomorrow as you suggest and see if this works.
Thanks again.
