Saw my first hummer today...Hooray!!!!

Wheatfield, NY(Zone 6a)

Sorry don't have a picture. Was out swimming in the pool this afternoon (that's what I get for taking time off from hummer watch LOL). I have a feeder near the pool and hung a basket of fuschia next to it to see if it would draw them in. Guess it worked. The little guy ignored the feeder, but spent some time on the fuschia. Pretty nice entertainment.

Congrats. I always look forward to the first hummers of spring. Fall is usually when I have the most. I have 2 females and 1 males as best as I can tell from seeing them all at once right now

That's a good pic! It's a feat in itself to get a pic without scaring them off. Do you like that window feeder? I've wondered if I'd have trouble with them, or finches, running into the glass.

I haven't had any problem with any birds running into the glass. I have another feeder hanging about 15' away and he spends his time between the 2. I have a finch feeder right next to the other hummer feeder, so we can all 3 of them out of this window.
